Multigroove Plank System
The Décortech Multigroove perforations comes as an acoustic panel (16mm or 17mm thick substrate) with perforations both sides or as a decorative panel with Face Side Multigroove only, made from 12mm thick substrate. The face appearance on both acoustic and face side is exactly the same.
Standard options include 3/16 (3mm grooves at 16mm centers) or 3/32 (3mm grooves at 32mm centers) with a tongue and groove edge detail.
Substrates available are painted or real timber veneer MDF or Firesafe MDF (SFI-0, SDI-5). See our Technical Specification Sheets for more information on these substrates.
Décortech Multigroove Planks come in a standard 2400 x 288mm size and can be easily installed using the Décortech Clip and Rail System.
Fixing Details
Extruded aluminium rails are mounted on battens at 400mm intervals perpendicular to the narrow section of the planks. Self-locking clips are applied that slot into the hidden grooves along the plank edges, thereby locking everything into place.
For further fixing details please see the fixing system and installation guide page.
Acoustic Test Results
All panels come with Decoustic 85 felt bonded to the back as standard. Acoustic blanket can also be provided if required. All Décortech panels are prefinished saving time and cost onsite and reducing potential issues such as spills, overspray or damage.
Please see the following PDF files with the results of acoustic tests performed at the University of Auckland in conjunction with Marshall Day Acoustics.
