“After our first briefing meeting, with Avanti Finance, we went to visit the site. At this stage, it was a construction zone, with concrete structure, but no windows, services or ceilings. Immediately we wanted to retain the large footprint, raw structure and services, and worked with our client to develop their space requirements. Fortunately, they were in agreement, but with over 200 staff, in open plan work spaces, we needed to address any acoustic issues.

The solution to creating quiet zones, for open meetings, private work stations and reception areas, was to introduce areas of lowered acoustic ceilings, using Décortech panels.

The timber finished, patterned tiles added a warm natural look to the work environment, achieved excellent results in absorbing sounds throughout, and provided very dramatic areas throughout the levels, in contrast to the concrete structure and exposed services.
